Keyword lists are easy. Strategy is the hard part.

Anyone with a Semrush login can produce a keyword list. The value isn't in the list — it's in deciding which keywords matter (vs which are vanity targets), grouping them into topic clusters that compound, scoring competition realistically, and sequencing the content roadmap so each new piece reinforces what came before. That's craft work, and it's what separates research that produces traffic from research that produces a 500-row spreadsheet nobody reads.

For Filipino businesses, keyword research has an extra layer: Filipinos search in code-switched Taglish, often mixing English brand names with Tagalog modifiers. International tools underweight or miss these queries entirely. PH-specific research surfaces opportunities your global competitors don't see — and that's where most Filipino brands can realistically out-rank larger international ones.

FAQ

Common keyword research questions.

How much does keyword research cost?

All services start at $499 USD per month with a one-time $20 admin fee that is fully deductible from the first month invoice. The $20 admin fee is non-refundable. Minimum commitment is 3 months; 6-month and 12-month plans are available. We onboard a maximum of 5 clients per service category at a time. See the Hire Me page for full details.

How long does keyword research take?

Typically 1–3 weeks. Smaller niches faster; broader scopes take longer. Weekly progress updates throughout.

Do you cover Tagalog and Taglish keywords?

Yes. PH keyword research has a different challenge than English-only — you have to capture how Filipinos actually search (code-switched). I combine standard tools with manual Google search behaviour analysis and PH-specific sources to surface keywords international consultants miss.

Will you tell me what to write?

Yes — that's the point. Deliverables include content brief outlines for the top 20–30 priorities (search intent, recommended structure, key sub-questions, schema, internal links, target word count). Your content team executes against the briefs without re-doing the research work.

Can I just use ChatGPT for keyword research?

For brainstorming yes, for actual research no. ChatGPT hallucinates search volumes and competition data, doesn't see real SERPs, and has no view into trend data. Use AI to generate seed ideas, then run them through real tools (which is exactly what I do).

Do you research keywords for AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity)?

Yes — research can include current AI assistant visibility for priority queries, plus a roadmap for AI optimisation. Often bundled with traditional keyword research as one engagement.
